Overview

I am presently in a wheelchair and this cottage was perfect for my needs. It has an entry ramp, stairlift, an adjustable chair, and a wet room.. Courtside cottage was comfortable, clean, cosy, quiet, spacious, and very very well equiped. We would love to stay here again.

Access

There was a ramp to the front door, and a stairlift up to the top floor. Both the ground and upper floor had no steps and were easy to negotiate using the stairlift and my cane.

Toilets

The planning of the accessible bathroom was very good with plenty of grab rails, and a shower seat. The room was large enough to negotiate in a wheelchair. It was well equiped and even had a bidet.

Staff

The cottage owners were very helpfull, giving us full instructions on how to use the stairlift on our arrival. There was also ample printed instructions in the cottage about the central heating and other equipment.

This was one of our most relaxing stays of the last year and we would certainly stay again

This is really heartening and motivating. The cottage won't suit everybody but we think that a lot of Euan's Guide readers will enjoy a great value break (and just 40 minutes from Edinburgh).
