Introduction to the hotel. ====================== This is a very nice, posh looking hotel, situated on the outskirts of Chester, within easy reach from the A55, ideal if visiting historical Chester itself, taking a day out at the Chester races, or visiting Chester Zoo. It is quite a secure hotel, with free parking for those using the hotels amenities, and at the moment has 4 EV charging points available for those using the hotel. This is a delightful modern well maintained classy 4 star hotel, with pleasant gardens, walled in to offer privacy in a sunny position. Pleasant hotel to enjoy a days visit, while enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner, in the Garden room restaurant, the menu offers a reasonably good menu, prices are acceptable and the food is a treat, well produced and presented. Breakfast available for a fixed fee. Note that pets are not allowed There are accessible parking bays not to far from main entrance, level walkways throughout the hotel and grounds along accessible public pathways, which includes an accessible level route to the fitness centre. The accessible rooms are ideal, large enough to get even large scooters inside, with 32 inch wide doorways, The bathrooms have 32inch doors, with grab rails and roll in showers. With prices starting from around £130 room, And £147 with breakfast The lobby and reception area offers large open spaces, with pleasant seating. Plush looking furniture and fittings, inviting and warm. The very pleasant delightful Bar and restaurant stands close enough to toilets, and entry into the bar. Waitress service is available, or you may order at the bar. The food is brought to your table for you. We personally used the hotel as our point to charge our EV car, enjoying the facilities while waiting for charge to complete. When it’s a pleasant warm sunny day, the gardens, attached to the restaurant, offers tranquil peace and quiet, while supping a favourite cocktail, While admiring the varied selection of small plants and shrubs in a well maintained garden setting. ============================== If you feel you are interested in visiting the double tree hotel we would certainly recommend it you, it’s quite easy to reach off the A55, which loops around Chester itself, and although large grounds welcome you, there a many parking bays, enough for guests and those using the fitness centre. The EV charging point is quite easy to find, although you will need to drive through the main car parking bays and around to the left and continue to the far end of the car parking bays, where four charging points await you. Theres an easy path to take you from charging points and into the hotel, simple walk to the left of the charge point, in between the red brick hotel walls and the grey disposible unit, then turn left on the well maintained narrow path that stands between a lawn and flower beds, and go up to the small entrance doorway, which takes you inside the hotel and leads to the bar and restaurant. When ready to leave, return to car, disconnect EV, and drive back through the car parks to the right, and the barriers will automatically raise for you.

We booked a three night stay. Before booking I contacted the hotel to check on the room specifications for the accessible bedroom. I have to say the room was excellent. It fully meet my needs . The room was on the ground floor and Was a small suite with two bathrooms . One a normal bathroom, the other a wet room. Complete. With raised. Toilet, grab rails and shower seat. The lounge area had desk, and sofa. The tv was in a unit in the middle of the room separating the lounge from the bedroom area. The tv itself swivels. There was so much space to get about in my wheelchair or use my crutches . The staff were helpful, we would certainly stay there again .

We were staying here for three nights. Before booking to eat in the restaurant on two of our three nights. I contacted the restaurant manager as I have a number of allergies caused by the medication I take. I needed to check that they were able to adjust things on the menu to avoid the ingredients I have an issue with. The restaurant manager was extremely helpful and the chef came up with a number of options for me. I must say the food was amazing cooked to perfection and presentation was so nice. A lot of the waiting staff were aware of my allergies as were the kitchen staff who I was informed had sterilised items to be used in my meal preparation. The restaurant is on the ground floor not far from where they have the accessible bedrooms . There is plenty of room to get about with a wheelchair tables were spaced well apart. There are large patio doors from here that take you out the garden area (no steps) that is fully paved and has patio tables and chairs. The bar area is to one side as you enter the restaurant.
