Overview

Myself and my wife stopped here for 5 Nights in an accessible room all have been refurbished and all was very clean the room as an accessible wet room and to look at it Looks very nice but not very practical it has a Laminated wood floor which I have never seen in a disabled wet room before I was not too bad with it I use a chair went in Transferred to the shower chair ok but my wife who has dementia was appositely terrified the water does not drain away very fast and though there is a rubber bathmat for you to put down there are no handrails fitted around the shower itself and the water logged floor soon becomes very Slippy , is there any building regulations in Scotland that checks these things out before they are passed as suitable and to be advertised and used as a disabled wet room, And every morning I went for breakfast I went down the installed disabled Ramp to go in to the Breakfast room someone had to Lift a Large Christmas tree because it had been stood at the bottom of the Ramp stopping access it became a bit off joke but it should not have been put there it's quite clear there has been no training given to staff in the needs of disabled Guests.
