What a wonderful weekend
was invited to a wedding at Dundas Castle at the beginning of May. It was a two day event. The first day was a casual/ Smart day before the actual service on Sunday. During the first day the guest got to mingle with each other and play games on the grounds such as archery, Caber tossing and hammer throwing. Also played croquet on the front lawn.Afterwards there nibbles, refreshments et cetera. There is also freshly made pizzas being served which were delicious. It was a lovely day to get to know everyone.
Day 2 was the actual wedding service which was held in the courtyard, outside but shouted. After the service photos were being taken there were drinks and nibbles served in the house before we were invited to go to the marquee for the main reception. The food was delicious and the rest of the Night was filled with fun dancing and fireworks. I had a brilliant time and would recommend it to anyone who has the chance to go to a Dundas Castle event. I did not stay at the Castle on the Saturday night but believe there are accessible rooms in particular the peoni room which has a stand alone shower (see link a go t the end of the review to watch a visual tour of the room). Due to the historical nature of Dundas, we are limited by building regulations as to adaptations we can make. However, we have done what we can and have a helpful, friendly team who will always try as hard as possible to provide help and assistance where needed.
