Excellent Facilities and a Great Restaurant and Theatre

As a regular visitor I was over the moon to hear that the toilets were being refurbished during the recent summer closure. There is now a changing places toilet on the upper level and a refurbished loo on the lower level beside the restaurant. The restaurant toilet is slightly awkward getting into it but as with the rest of the facilities it's spotless. There's a lift giving good access to the upper level where the auditorium is located and another bar. Wheelchair spaces in the auditorium give a good view of the stage and there is plenty room for a pa/carer alongside the 4 wheelchair seats. Staff are extremely helpful and make you feel welcome and cared for. You can use the restaurant between 11am and 4pm Tuesday to Saturday and for dinner on Fridays,Saturdays and performance evenings. The food is excellent and there's plenty of space for wheelchairs.

    Dundee rep (Scottish dance theatre)

After leaving the Tearoom, we headed for the Dundee rep (Scottish dance theatre). But on the way we stopped to have a look around the precinct and we bumped into Desperate Dan (haha). We got to the Dundee rep and entered the building, we spoke with the lady on the foyer who gave us all the information we required. She then went out of her way and asked the director who was busy rehearsing for a play if we could go into the stage area to have a look at the accessible spaces for wheelchair users and disabled in general. He agreed and we had a good look around. With the stage being level not raised up high (so no strained necks looking up at the stage).
