Overall Rating
Good
Duns Public Park is a joy to wander through when the weather is on your side. With tarmacked paths throughout and a few picnic spots, it's worth a visit. If you'd like a little more from your stroll through the grounds, you can also seek out the Town War Memorial, the John Duns Scotus Statue, the Polish War Memorial and the Drumclog Bell.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
There are benches in the park to stop for a rest or just to take in the greenery. The tarmac paths make it easy to complete the 1 mile walking route through the park if using a mobility aid. There is a large play park, but no accessible play equipment, which feels like a missed opportunity given the substantial investment in the park. There are no alternative formats in use.
Accessible facilities: Single-level venue, Step-free entrance, Seating at regular intervals
Parking & Transport
Average
I travelled to this place by walk or wheel
I parked at the Boston Court entrance. There are no accessible parking spaces here, but there are 10 standard spaces immediately at the entrance. The car park is well maintained and easy to navigate when using a mobility device.
Accessible facilities: Dedicated on-site parking
Accessible Toilets
There are no toilet facilities in the park, although it is not far from the town centre.
Additional Information
You'll find Duns Bowling Club in the park, as well as tennis courts with seasonal access.
