Eckington Swimming Pool & Fitness Centre

We are a community sports facility that offers swimming and fitness based activities for a wide range of users. The swimming Pool is 25m by 12.5 m 6 lane multifunctional activity pool which caters for general swimming, lane swimming, swimming lessons, fun inflatable sessions, swimming clubs, sub aqua clubs, pool parties, aqua based fitness classes and gala's. The fitness side comprises of a 50 station gym with cardio vascular, resistance & free weight equipment. We have a fitness studio where we run a full range of fitness classes. We also have a full café with downstairs, pool view seating, along with that is incorporated a small soft play area which is free to use Our changing rooms are 'Village style' mixed changing with private cubicles and showering, also incorporating an accessible changing, shower and toilet area. We have accessible toilets' available all open the ground floor. To access the facility we have a ramped area and automatic doors, a push button entry into the fitness suite and 3 disabled parking bays next to the ramped area. Within the pool hall we have easily accessible steps or we do have a hoist to assist less abled customers. Our reception has lower serving desk for customers in wheelchairs, and our gym has accessible equipment. We do run a Health referral scheme for people who need further assistance for a variety of different needs which are referred by a doctor. The entrance is bright and open plan, easily accessible for anyone.
