Venue Description

Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop is a centre for production, research and learning, supporting artists in their careers and practice through the provision of space, funding and professional opportunities. As well as specialist production facilities supporting specific processes, there are studios accommodating a peer network and spaces designed to accommodate research, presentation and learning, and a staff team to provide advice, training and mentoring. Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop offers new exhibitions each year as part of the Edinburgh Art Festival.

Accessibility

Level access over the whole site. Lift to all floors in the Bill Scott Sculpture Centre. Creative Laboratories is laid out over a single storey with level access / ramps throughout Three disabled toilets Lift access available through the Bill Scott Sculpture Centre to cafe MILK, with level access also available via the cycle path.

Toilets

There are three disabled toilets, all with step-free access. One disabled toilet is in the Bill Scott Sculpture Centre, with street level access. One disabled toilet is in the Creative Laboratories beside cafe MILK. (The third disabled toilet in in the Creative Laboratories, and only used when the North Labs space is open.) Doors are wide enough for manual and powered wheelchairs. All disabled toilets have easy turn locks, grab rails and taps.

Staff

All staff are qualified first aiders. Two staff members have attended workshop(s) around acquired brain injury.
