The Etihad Stadium is home to Manchester City Football Club. The Club prides itself on being inclusive and working with all its supporters and visitors whether it is for a football match, stadium tour, event or conference. We recognize that disabled supporters and visitors may need assistance to fully enjoy the experience at the Etihad Stadium and offer a variety of reasonable adjustments based on individual needs. We provide accessible toilets, a Super Riser in both the home and visiting supporter sections. There are over 250 wheelchair spaces for use on a matchday. There is lift access to all areas of the stadium for both matchday and non-matchday use including a lift within the City Store, along with on-site disabled parking. Induction loop equipment in the majority of customer contact points at the Etihad Stadium, including the Ticket Office and the main reception areas.

Very claustrophobic

We were visiting fans with the away supporters. In theory we should have been escorted to our seats. However, our escort wasn’t sure where our seats were so we ended up with a bit of a tour past some hospitality areas and up to the wrong floor and ended up being left in the home end! We managed to get let back through to the away end and found our seats. A lady came and took our food order and even got us chips which are not available at the kiosks in the away end. We had a great view from our seats. However, wheelchair users share the accessible viewing platforms with all the police, security and stewards on that level, who were huddled very close to us for most of the game. One member of staff even rested on my son’s wheelchair handles. We always try to secure a space at the end of the row to give my son a bit of space. Unfortunately this area was occupied by the largest number of staff. This seems to be an issue exclusive to the Etihad and my son found it quite unnerving.

Absolutely brilliant access for people with disabilities. This was the first match my little girl has been to, and (apart from the score) it was perfect!

Disabled Access Information Provided by Etihad Stadium

Disabled Access at Etihad Stadium

On a matchday there are 5 accessible entrances: D, H, M1, S and W doors, which are clearly sign posted. On a non- matchday the entrance is via the main reception which is a flat surface. The area around the stadium has level access and pavements have dropped kerbs and slab paving. The Ticket Office and reception areas have a lowered counter, an induction loop and are accessible for wheelchair users. All ambulant supporters are able to enjoy the game from any seat they choose. We ask all supporters to consider the height and rake of the Level 3 stands as they may not be suitable.

Accessible parking at Etihad Stadium

Disabled parking is available on matchday and non-matchday. We have a high demand for matchday parking bays and operate a waiting list. Disabled Supporters who hold a ‘Blue Badge’ may apply for free parking, subject to availability, on a match by match basis. Supporters will need to supply a copy of their Blue Badge to the Club to qualify. ‘Pay on the day’ matchday parking is available at a cost of £10. Minibuses and coaches are free of charge. The Club operates a free shuttle service at the Etihad Stadium using buggies to transfer supporters who need extra help from the Blue car park and the Orange car park on request.

Toilets features at Etihad Stadium

Accessible toilets are available at various points throughout the stadium, with a Changing Places Facility in the South Stand. All public concourse toilets and the Changing Places Facility are fitted with RADAR keys. Every concourse washroom has one compartment (cubicle) that is suitable for ambulant supporters.

There is a Changing Places toilet, which includes an adult-size changing bench, toilet, sink and hoist.

Accessible toilet

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
