The image shows the accessible toilet facilities. In the back right hand corner of the space is the toilet with various grab handles, both fixed and hinged. These grab rails have a red stripe tape to make them more visible. On the right hand wall in front of the toilet is a smaqll hand basin with a mirror above it and more grab handles either side of the sink. There is quite a large space for turning and/or transferring from a wheelchair. There is a hand dryer on the left hand wall opposite the wash basin.

This photo shows a view of the inside of the heritage centre. It shows the accessible lift of the type that you need to hold a button down for the duration of the lifts operation. The lift door is a hinged type that opens outwards with the handle on the left hand side of the door and the hinge to the right hand side. Just past the lift is the servery area of the cafe.

The Garioch Heritage Centre is a four-star visitor attraction located in the town of Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. Housed in a beautifully converted former industrial building—part of the historic Inverurie Locomotive Works—the centre offers a fascinating look at the North East of Scotland’s history.
