    The Garrick Theatre is based in the West End on Charing Cross Road. The venue was named after the famous actor David Garrick. Opening in 1889 the Garrick had a reputation initially for staging melodrama. The theatre then became associated with comedies and now hosts a variety of plays and musicals.
