Glamis Castle is an impressive historic building located in the heart of Angus. This ancestral home features dramatic baronial architecture and offers a variety of experiences including guided tours of grand rooms filled with fine furnishings and family portraits. Visitors can explore extensive gardens, nature trails, and a walled garden, or enjoy a meal in the Victorian Castle Kitchen Restaurant.

Trail of Tales Light Show

I attended this pop-up event at Glamis Castle called Trail of Tales which is a walk trail around the grounds of the castles that’s lite by lots of light displays. It’s similar to the Enchanted Forest which I’ve reviewed before, but this is the first time Glamis Castle has put on this event. One reason I was eager to go was because they provided great information on their website saying they were accessible for wheelchair users and that you got a free carer ticket.

This outdoor cinema event is run by Blue Monkey Events and show a number of different movies throughout the summer and possibly other seasons.

Stunning Castle, shame about accessibility

First impressions good as we arrived at castle - tarmac surfaces - but the car park was first disappointment . Gravel😫 Very little area suitable for manual wheelchairs apart from access to gift shop and restaurant . Disabled toilet too small - would not get motorised chair in there.
