Main library in Gloucester City Centre. Venue for a wide range of groups: Baby, Bounce & Rhyme; Story Time; Knit & Natter; Share-a-poem; Age UK computer group; Community Wellbeing. Computer buddies on hand to help with job searches, printing, word documents etc. Use the library to apply for a bus pass or renew an expired one. Themed craft activities for children every school holiday.

Accessibility of gloucestershire library

The access to the library is good as there is an automatic door that opens. There is also ample space to move around in my wheelchair especially when I want to turn around. Shelves are also accessible comfortably from my wheelchair. Carousels make it easier to select CDs.

Disabled Access at Gloucester Library

The library has automatic doors for disabled access. Most of the book stock is situated on the ground floor which is level and accessible using a wheelchair. The first floor has an accessible toilet for wheelchair users and is accessible via a lift.

The accessible toilet has a door that is wide enough for both electric and manual wheelchairs. There is an alarm which is checked weekly by staff.
