On my mission to review as many stations in Greenock as possible, I didn't want to leave this one off the list. The lower rating is due to the lack of wheelchair access, but it's important to note that a lack of wheelchair access does not necessarily mean a lack of access features. Whilst this may not be the best option for wheelchair users, I'm certain it remains useful for many others.
Disabled Access In and Around

Whilst the entrance is step-free and has automatic doors, the rest of the station is far from accessible. At the entrance, you'll find a ticket office, which has a sticker in the window indicating that a hearing loop is available. To access the platforms, you must use the stairs, which have faded yellow paint on the edges and handrails on either side. To cross between the platforms, you'll need to use the footbridge. The steps up to the walkway have handrails, but these stop at the walkway itself, which is both an interesting and disappointing design choice. On the platforms you'll find benches for seating, and on Platform 1 there is a rain shelter with additional benches inside. Tactile paving is installed along the platform edges and an induction loop is in use. Overhead dot-matrix displays provide departure and arrival information, and audible announcements are also made.

There is some on-street parking around the side of the station, as well as a small local council-operated car park across the street. Bus stops can be found on Roxburgh Steet and Nelson street, a short stroll from the station.
