Greenock West Railway Station is a busy, staffed transport hub located on Newton Street in Greenock, Inverclyde. Managed by ScotRail, this two platform station is situated on the Inverclyde Line. Passengers can access regular daily services connecting local travellers to Glasgow Central, Gourock, and nearby coastal destinations. The surrounding area features local venues, shops, and the West College Scotland Finnart Campus.

This station does not have step-free access to either platform, as both platforms sit below street level and are reached via staircases. An induction loop system is installed at designated listening areas to support passengers with hearing requirements. Accessible ticket machines are available on site. A council-managed car park with one hundred spaces is located nearby, and local bus replacement links stop on Nelson Street.

Greenock West

On my mission to review as many stations in Greenock as possible, I didn't want to leave this one off the list. The lower rating is due to the lack of wheelchair access, but it's important to note that a lack of wheelchair access does not necessarily mean a lack of access features. Whilst this may not be the best option for wheelchair users, I'm certain it remains useful for many others.
