Venue Description

Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, under the Directorship of James Barber, is a busy producing and receiving house creating shows in Guildford and touring nationally with many transferring to the West End. On both the Main Stage and in the Mill Studio an eclectic mix of classical and contemporary work is staged by new, lesser-known and established writers.

Accessibility

In the Main House there is space for two wheelchairs. An accessible WC is on the ground floor and there is a lift from the ground floor to the top floor. There is step free access to the café and the restaurant. In the Mill Studio there is space for up to eight wheelchairs and offers step free access. Both the Main House and Mill Studio have the Sennheiser infra red sound enhancement system. Headsets can be borrowed from the Ushers desk.

Accessible Performances

Some of the productions the Theatre receives have access performances including audio-described performances and captioned performances, please see our website for current program. We also produce a family pantomime every year which has a signed performance and a relaxed performance.

Toilets

There is accessible toilet in the Theatre. It has step free access and doors wide enough for manual or powered wheelchairs.
