    Half Moon Hotel & Restaurant

    About

Bob and Dawn Gooderson took over the Half Moon Hotel in August 2015. It had previously been run By Dave and Jill Dixon for the past forty years. The Half Moon has seventeen en-suite bedrooms which include singles, doubles, twins and family rooms. One twin and one double have en-suite facilities for wheelchair users. Our a la carte restaurant, named Hewitts offers a menu of delightful dishes served in comfortable surroundings. The lounge bar is open from 12 noon until late. There are lots of tables at which we serve substantial, enjoyable meals. On Sundays there is a carvery at lunchtime serving a variety of roast meats. Our Tearoom offers a selection of teas, scones and home made cakes to enjoy while you spend a relaxing hour with us. We have a function room which will seat sixty guests at tables and up to eighty ‘cinema style’. The venue is suitable for weddings, meetings and many other types of function. We can arrange a substantial marquee on the extensive lawned area at the rear of the hotel for any large event. Some of our senior staff have been at the Half Moon for many years so are well acquainted with the hotel and the local area. Bob and Dawn have extensive experience in the hotel and catering industry. We are all here to make your stay, you meal, your drink or your function an enjoyable experience.
