I am a disabled person and a carer or friend of a disabled person and a general supporter of disabled access. I have experience of challenges around: accessing toilets, dexterity or coordination and moving around.

Visited for a late lunch in October whilst using my wheelchair and while the experience was mostly good, I did have some issues. First was the very heavy entrance door which I needed help with to get in and out of the restaurant. Thankfully, I had my partner with me and a kind lady also held the door on my exit. However as a self-propelling wheelchair user, I did need assistance to get through the door as there was not enough room to manouver myself through it without squashing my hands between the wheels and door/frame. The table allocation for me with a wheelchair wasn't great. I was left in the middle of a walk way and ended up having to transfer from wheelchair to an actual chair with nowhere to leave the wheelchair other than in the way of staff and customers wanting to pass. After looking around the restaurant, this seemed the best place to be seated. That being said, all walk ways are fairly wide and should make using a powerchair fairly easy, once you get past the main doors. Access to the bar, salad bar and sauces was limited as all of these were very high up and had I not had assistance from my partner, I would have struggled more when choosing my food from the salad bar. The biggest issue I had was the bathrooms. I did not see an accessible bathroom anywhere. Thankfully, I am an ambulatory wheelchair user, or I would definitely have been caught short in my attempt to use the bathroom. The main door for the toilets is very narrow and is not wide enough for a wheelchair, the toilets themselves are very narrow cubicles without any grab rails or space for a wheelchair and the sinks and hand dryers were very high up. Usually, I would ask a member of staff where the accessible bathroom is, but the staff were either short on this day, or very busy with what they were doing because we only saw them when food was being brought out. I note that it took over 5 minutes of waiting for us to be seated in a very quiet restaurant and after waiting a fair amount of time to be served, we resorted to just ordering via the app at our table. (There were 6 tables in use when we arrived - I counted whilst we waited to be seated). Overall, the food was decent and it was a nice, quiet meal. Wouldn't recommend for wheelchair users that don't have assistance and only if you can access a bathroom without the wheelchair. *I did spot an elevator in the entrance porch once you pass the initial doors, but I can't comment on the size of it nor the upstairs facilities as I did not use/access them.

Parked in St Peter's Street Car Park which has ample disability parking bays and easy, relatively flat access with dropped kerbs and close to most shops. Paid £2.50 for all day parking.
