Highland Farm Cafe

We stopped in this eco-cafe for a quick visit on a rainy Scottish summer afternoon. Despite the rain, the cafe felt light, bright and cheerful inside; I had a good laugh at the muzak, that cheered me up too. My mum told me that people (someone my dad worked with) used to do a weird dance sitting on the floor to 'Oops Upside Your Head', so that was really funny to imagine! The song was bizarre but hilarious! I had a lovely time; I've been here before and the food and juices were delicious; there were vegan options too and there's a lovely gift shop with local cards and gifts etc. plus lots of delicatessen-type teas, coffees and treats available to buy as well. There's also an undercover outdoor seating area overlooking the Cromarty Firth and the Black Isle; it's a beautiful spot and well worth a visit, even in the rain staff were lovely, smiley and helpful.
