Highwoods Country Park

It was a warm day in April and I had been suffering from cabin fever for quite sometime so the family and I decided to go goat hunting in Highwoods Country Park (there are some there in the Chanterelle Car Park region but only some months during the year) The car park is mostly a combination of paved and gravel but mostly accessible, however you will not find a disabled parking space in this particular car park as it is all unmarked (the main Highwoods Car Park has disabled parking, is tarmaced, has disabled toilets and a dedicated wheelchair accessible path, but that's for another review) It was a gamble taking this trip as we had no clue as to whether or not my Etech Mobility Freedom Pro chair would make the journey which started in a little bit of forest but actually the whole trip, while dicey in some areas (avoidable if you wanted to) it was still doable with the help of my husband and son. The area is signposted so I knew where to go for the particular field the goats should have been in but it was not our lucky month. Never mind, it was still wonderful to be outside in nature, meeting doggos and breathing fresh air. I think what I would take away from this is: Who dares wins, it's not going to be a smooth ride; there is some adverse camber that will make some chairs slide and veer but if you're feeling adventurous and stubborn, and you're not alone then go for it!
