Quirky meeting place

Date of visit: October 2026
I am a carer or friend of a disabled person.
Overall Rating
Good
Came here for a networking meeting on the top floor. It was a nice event.
Disabled Access In and Around
Average
There was a van blocking the disabled entrance (which is very steep) in the morning when I arrived. I got a photo of it when I left (minus the van)- not sure what you would do if you came here independently. There was large chunky gravel around that driveway/entrance part, so would be very difficult to get around the van if you could squeeze by it. It is an old house and as such the hallways are quite narrow. The lift is also quite small, could be a squeeze for a powerchair and carer.
Accessible facilities: Lift to all areas
Parking & Transport
I travelled to this place by bus
I took the bus, so didn't see the car park. There was one particularly steep part of public path leading to the House, if you're heading there from the bus stop.
Accessible Toilets
The accessible toilets I saw (ground floor and top floor) both clean. No emergency pull cords though. In one there was a big bin in the way of transfer space.
Facilities: Accessible toilet
Staff
Excellent
Friendly and I am assuming also in charge of catering, which was delicious.
Additional Information
A good spot for a network/team meeting set up.
