Great evening
We visited the Kennedy Centre whilst in Washington D.C. The Centre for performing arts is a living memorial to President John F Kennedy. Access to the building Is wheelchair accessible. There are 7 theatres at the centre and several performances were free. There are a wide variety of acts performed at the centre Including music concerts, dance acts and plays. We went to see the NEA Jazz Masters Tribute Concert in the Concert Hall. To secure our seats to the concert we booked in advance online and picked the tickets up on the day of the concert. The concert hall that we were in was wheelchair accessible. We all sat together at the back of the hall where there were spaces for wheelchairs. There is a formal rooftop restaurant and a casual cafe/diner. There was also a small gift shop and some history about the Kennedy family. The Staff at the Center were extremely friendly and helpful.The hotel we were staying in was close enough to the Kennedy Centre to walk. Alternatively there is a Metro station called Foggy Bottom which is approximately 0.7 Miles away. I believe there are some disabled parking spaces available (contact centre for more information). I would definitely recommend a visit to the Kennedy Centre. The building is amazing and wheelchair accessibility is great.
