Overview

A great visit. Lots of birds in large cages or on perches under cover. All with good interpretation information. In the afternoon there are 2 live flying sessions. These are led by 2 of the handlers and is narated over a microphone. We witnessed 3 different owls and a kite flying between the handlers who passed the leather glove to members of those watching to hold while a bird flies towards you and lands.

Transport & Parking

Very easy access with a car though it's a 5 minute walk up to the centre from the disabled bays. You probably could get dropped off closer.

Access

The site is on a hillside but was manageable in my power chair. One section innpariculer was very steep. Easy up and very slowly down. Space to get close to the birds and included well and helped with catching the birds.

Toilets

Not at centre but it's on a lager site called Kielder Waterside. Its reception is at the car park and has toilets. I didn't check them out.
