Overview

It was a good show. Very modern and has been updated since I last saw it. The narrator was extremely talented and very funny

Transport & Parking

4

We parked in the nip car park behind the theatre it’s easy to access and has 10 disabled bays outside. They do fill up Quickly but if your there reasonably early parking is ok. Street parking is also good around the venue. There are many bus routs pass the kings but I’ve never used public transport

Access

4

Access is at the side of the building although it’s not very well sign posted. There is a buzzer you press and a staff member comes and takes you to your seat. I don’t know about any facilities for deaf or blind patrons although they do put on special shows for autistic and other people who need to be able to move about and talk. The was no lift required although the isles are very steep and difficult to walk on. After my last out we have sat in different seats at the back of the stalls. It’s flat you don’t need to negotiate the steep isles but you do have the distraction of the sound panel lights and the stewards coming and going out of the auditorium.

Toilets

2

There is 1 toilet with a concertina door that is difficult to close within your in your wheelchair it’s very small and manoeuvring inside is difficult. The facilities are old and worn they don’t look particularly clean and when I went at the end of the show there was no toilet paper. The access to the ladies toilets in through the door beside the disabled toilet but there is a steep staircase for people to negotiate so many of them will use the disabled toilet instead. There was a red pull cord which was NOT tight up out the was do a point for that. 1 disabled toilet is not enough!!!!

Staff

4

The staff are amazing they are very helpful and can not do enough for you. The time I had the experience of the stairs the manager changed all our future shows to a different location without a word of annoyance. He also gave us free ice cream for 6 of us for the pantomime as a sorry. I felt that was a kind gesture
