The Lake District Calvert Trust is a residential outdoor activity centre with over 35 years’ experience delivering outdoor adventure holidays for people with disabilities. On the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, in the heart of the Lake District National Park, our centre offers a warm welcome; accessible accommodation and exciting breaks for schools, groups, families and individuals with their friends and carers. We are accessible to people of all ages with sensory, learning or physical disabilities, including those with the most complex needs for which most outdoor centres cannot cater. Accessibility

Fully accessible residential outdoor activity centre for people with even the moist complex of disabilities. All rooms en-suite with a range of hoists, profiling beds, adaptive equipment available free of charge. Tracking hoists and shower beds in swimming pool. Fully wheelchair accessible site and all adaptive activities.

Toilets

All toilets are fully accessible, some have accessible shower beds and hoists.

Staff

Staff are highly qualified and regulated in instructing outdoor adventure activities for people with disabilities, the use of adaptive equipment and working with all types of disability.
