Last Minute Travel
Before heading to Lanzarote, I had been in touch with Last Minute Tours to find out which tours, if any, would be suitable for a wheelchair user. The advice was to call into one of their offices when out there so that was what we did. I can’t remember the man’s name but he was most helpful and after some discussion we signed up for the Short South Tour.
The bus turned up on time at the designated stop, seats had been reserved for us in the downstairs part of the bus and, with wheelchair safely stowed away, off we went. I always think of subsequent pickups as being part of the tour as you see other hotels and perhaps areas that you would not see otherwise.
Pickups done, we were soon on the tour proper, passing lovely white-washed single storey villages and a camel park before heading into the Timanfaya National Park.
We certainly enjoyed the tour and found the landscape of the National park to be quite a sight.
The leaflet mentioned stopping of for a glass of wine but I can’t recall the offer of such a stop.
