Venue Description
Lightroom is a new home for spectacular artist-led shows. Launching our programme with a collaboration with David Hockney in February 2023, we invite the world’s leading creative minds to use our vast space and revolutionary technology to create something completely new. Our newest show The Moonwalkers: A Journey with Tom Hanks is open at Lightroom until 13 October 2024. For tickets and more information please visit the event page. From 17 June – 6 October 2024, our debut show David Hockney: Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away) will return to Lightroom to run alongside The Moonwalkers. For tickets and more information please visit the event page. Lightroom is located in King’s Cross on Lewis Cubitt Square, adjacent to Coal Drops Yard and Central St Martin’s. The innovative showspace was designed by 59 Productions in close collaboration with Haworth Tompkins, who have designed the venue as a sister space to the award-winning Bridge Theatre. Along with a generous Foyer and gift shop, the space also contains a bar and seating area in collaboration with St John.Accessibility

Accessible Performances
Throughout the year we offer a range of accessible showings at Lightroom, to ensure everyone feels comfortable and looked after during their visit. We offer two kinds of Accessible Showings: BSL Showings, and Relaxed Showings. BSL We offer British Sign Language (BSL) showings of Lightroom shows. BSL is incorporated into the show, with BSL interpreter Ramon Woolfe, as well as enhanced subtitles. The BSL elements feature across all four walls, allowing guests to enjoy the full immersive experience. Currently scheduled BSL Showings: Vogue: Inventing the Runway Monday 19 May, 10am – click here to book Wednesday 18 June, 10am – click here to book David Hockney: Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away) Friday 23 May, 10am – click here to book Relaxed Showings These showings are intended for people who would enjoy the Lightroom experience but may find noise and lack of lighting overwhelming. To help with these aspects, the house lights will be switched on at low level during the show, and the show volume will be reduced. Turning on the house lights will also slightly reduce the amount of contrast in the projections. Entry and re-entry is allowed via all doors, and a quiet calm space is available for those who need to use it. BSL is also incorporated into the show during Relaxed Showings, with BSL interpreter Ramon Woolfe, as well as enhanced subtitles. Currently scheduled Relaxed Showings: Vogue: Inventing the Runway Monday 19 May, 11.30am – click here to book Wednesday 18 June, 11.30am – click here to book The Moonwalkers: A Journey with Tom Hanks Sunday 25 May, 10am – click here to book David Hockney: Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away) Thursday 15 May, 10am – click here to book How to book Please visit our website: lightroom.uk/your-visit/accessibility-at-lightroom/ to book an access showing.
