Accessibility was a concern for our experience. A young family member has physical disability Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP) uses a frame and experiences severe pain and discomfort in legs when walking long distances. Another family member has a mental health disability. Speaking through microphone over the top of a family member with mental health disability and sensory challenges. No apology or willing to adapt. They refused to take us back to Albert Dock a safe point after Mathew street (5 mins away) because it was the last tour (4:30pm). Nearly drove away whilst still embarking. Dropped off vulnerable family members outside a pub where we were harassed
Disabled Access In and Around
Bad
The MMT office and Beatles cafe in same area had a broken lift so couldn’t access the cafe for shelter so partner dropped us off at pier head and we walked to The Museum cafe
Parking & Transport
I travelled to this place by personal vehicle
Charges on car park near the docks for disabled badge holders. Affordable car park we found was St John’s so partner dropped me and my step daughter off and he parked up and walked to meet us.
Accessible Toilets
Bad
Unclear where the disabled toilets were and no guidance from your operator as to where they were.
Staff
Poor
We sat at the front where the tour operator was speaking through a microphone directly over our heads it was a sensory overload and gestured and point out the window right in front of our faces very intrusive.
