Overview

I visit Mayflower Theatre at least once a month, often more. It is an excellent venue for disabled visitors. The Box Office has a ramped entrance so that it is very easy to purchase tickets. To the side of the theatre, there is an accessible entrance with a seating area for use by disabled visitors and their party. Within this seating area there is a Changing Rooms toilet facility that is very well equipped and the red emergency cord reaches to the ground. The staff are very helpful, for instance, I go to the Mayflower with my husband who walks with a stick. This means he is unable to get our hot drinks and carry them back to our seat so we order our pre-show and interval cuppas to be brought to our seats! I have also seen staff regularly look after a guide dog after his owner has been shown to his seat. The Mayflower have a, free to join, Access Membership Scheme that helps them to be aware of help that you need.

The Mayflower have no parking but there is a reasonable amount of parking very close to the theatre. It is on a busy bus route and is just 5 minutes easy walk from Southampton train station.
