Overview
We attended a Scottish Cup tie between St Johnstone and Hamilton Academical. We took pre-match hospitality costing £60 each, which was excellent value. For our money we got a match ticket (£20), a very good 2-course Asian meal, with fortune cookies, a welcome drink (prosecco or fruit juice), one free drink from The bar (a Guinness for me), coffee or tea before the game, at halftime and after the game, and a small steak pie at halftime.
Transport & Parking
We drove and I was dropped off at the entry door before free parking (which otherwise costs £5) nearby. We were told to arrive by 1pm but were held up in traffic in Fife, arriving at 1:20, but they delayed serving food till 1:30, which was fine for a 3pm kickoff. We stayed on after the game till 5:30 and two St Johnstone players joined us in the hospitality area after the game.
Access
All places were on the flat, except for our centre grandstand seats (next to the directors) which required us to climb two or three steps only, with a hand rail.
Toilets
Did not use. Able-bodied members of our group used the toilets which were again on the same, flat level.
Staff
Excellent service from the moment we entered (not forgetting friendly car park attendants), serving staff and opened a fire door to give us the shortest walk to our seats. We were even given a feedback form and an opportunity to discuss other possible menus. (The Asian menu was a new initiative, but also tied in with the Chinese New Year.)
