Good place to stop on a journey
Stopped over during a journey from Italy to Inverness; the hotel is open from 8 am to 10 pm but there's also a contact number for out of hours access / needs. Very ahndy position as it is just off the A9 at the junction with A85.
There are two disabled parking bays near the entrance, with slightly sloping access. The place is basic but comfortable: level access to hall, friendly staff ready to help; the corridors are carpeted but firm enough to deal with a manual wheelchair, as well as the rooms. The accessible rooms are on ground floor (n. 102 and 106), they're large with low beds which are quite easy to transfer to and from; good space around for the wheelchair. There's a lowered rack for clothes hangers, a table with tea-coffee making facilities (free top ups from Reception) and a couple of chairs. Bedside shelves for keeping things at hand. The wetroom in both rooms is large with plenty of grab rails, easy access to washbasin and toilet and plenty of shelving to put your things on. Good shower with seat and rails. Good value for money on the whole.
The hotel has no dining or breakfast facilities apart from kettle and mugs in the rooms, but just across the car park there's a pub, the Glover Arms, which servers excellent food and is totally accessible: ground floor with no steps and very roomy inside, lovely staff. They also have a disabled toilet with grab rails and raised seat (approach from left).
