About

Mere Brook House is a country house based on the Wirral between Liverpool and Chester. We have eight ensuite bedrooms furnished to a high standard along with facilities for celebrations and business meetings. Three of our rooms are ground floor and one in particular is ideal for the less able - it has a wet room ensuite with various aids, the bed can be twin or superking and the bedroom has patio doors opening onto the garden. The house is set in over an acre of landscaped gardens. We encourage guests to use all parts of the house including the kitchens and dining areas and to help themselves to homemade cakes, tea, coffee, fruit juice and cheese free of charge whenever they wish and to relax in our lovely lounges overlooking the gardens.

Disabled Access Information Provided by Mere Brook House

Disabled Access at Mere Brook House

The front door of the main house has two steps so is not suitable for some but we have level access down the side and a wide entrance at the rear. Once inside the main house there are wide doors providing access to the conservatory, garden lounge, dining room and reception hall. There is a ground floor toilet. The four bedrooms are all on the first floor in the main house. In the cottage which is very close to the main house there is a ramp and wide door at the entrance and 3 ground floor bedrooms one of which has a wet room, a variety of aids along with patio doors opening onto the garden.

Toilets features at Mere Brook House

There is a gound floor toilet in the main house but there is insufficient room for a wheelchair so it is not a fully accessible toilet. The toilet in the Flora bedroom on the ground floor of the cottage can have a raised seat, arms to the side and can take a wheelchair so is better.

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
