MF Coffee Shop

Do not go here at the moment; the bathroom lacks a pull cord, making it unsafe. To reach this coffee shop as a wheelchair user, you must go around outside and through the courtyard, which is lengthy and somewhat tiring. The steep ramp required assistance but can be worthwhile; I enjoyed my oat latte and vegan cake. The staff were friendly, and the furniture was generally manageable, though some pieces moved easily and a few chairs are heavy. A large table at the right height for my wheelchair was available. The bathroom, located down the corridor of the Summerhall complex, unfortunately lacks a pull cord. I informed management, who are aware and plan to fix it. There is a changing facility within the accessible toilets. Once the pull cord is repaired, I will update this listing. It would be safer to visit and a very pleasant experience. The galleries on the opposite side of Summerhall are easily accessible, with interesting exhibitions. Since my first visit, a new shop has opened, featuring art and creative works like clothing, jewellery, postcards, and more for sale. Navigating the shop was tricky until staff moved the display in the centre of the room, though space remains tight; someone in a power wheelchair may struggle. The main issue on this visit was the missing pull cord and the coffee shop isnt directly responsible for this.
