Montjuïc Cable Car

We visited in August 2024. The cable car itself is accessible. We were taken to the front of the queue and they stopped the cars so our wheelchair could get in. The views are amazing. Just keep in mind that at the top of the cable cars, the path to the castle is cobbled but this is owned by the castle and not the cable cars itself.

I was told I couldn't use the cable car because my electric wheelchair was too heavy. It weighs <100kg, equivalent to 1 person. Clearly providing access to 1 extra able bodied passenger is more important than access for all.

With stunning panoramic views, this is a unique way to see the city in all it’s splendour. My power chair fitted nicely into the cable car with two other passengers.
