    At Moors Valley there is something for everyone whether you want to explore the miles of well signed paths in the peaceful forest, relax with some fishing on the lake, experience a ride on an authentic narrow-gauge steam train, or even take part in more adventurous activities like ‘Go Ape’ on a high wire forest adventure swinging through the tree tops.

    Disabled Access at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest

    Two Countryside Mobility all-terrain 'Tramper' mobility scooters are available to hire at Moors Valley for free from 9.30am until 4.30pm (later in the summer). Visitors must first be members of the Countryside Mobility Scheme (£10 year membership or £2.50 temporary 2 week membership) www.moors-valley.co.uk/visitor-information/countryside-mobility-scheme/ The friendly staff at the Information Point in the Visitor Centre are happy to help advise you on the best routes available to suit your needs to make the most of your visit. The footpaths between the Visitor Centre and car park are tarmac and so are fairly smooth however there are some short sections where the gradient is 10% or more. Access to the Visitor Centre is through wide automatic doors. A Visual Story autism guide is available to download from the website - www.moors-valley.co.uk/access

    Accessible parking at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest

    Disabled persons with vehicles that are road tax exempt for disability may park for free. To have your parking validated go to the Information Point in the Visitor Centre with your registration number and blue badge along with one of the following: V5 vehicle registration document, Enhanced PIP certificate, Local Authority Parking Exemption Badge or Certificate of entitlement (in the form of Certificate of Entitlement to Disability Living Allowance, An Annual Certificate of Entitlement or a DLA 404 Certificate). You must be visiting in the car that the tax exemption applies to, for the free parking to apply. Regular visitors can register for automatic number plate recognition for their vehicle.

    Visitor Centre toilets include: Changing Places toilet with ceiling track hoist (BHM hoist) and height adjustable changing bench. Centrally placed toilet with space either side for carers.     There is a Changing Places toilet, which includes an adult-size changing bench, toilet, sink and hoist.
