Whether it is your weekly shop, clothes and homewares, a lotto ticket, a photo booth or a café lunch – this Morrisons has you covered. (Although after 5pm you will have to contend yourself with a meal deal instead of a meal from the café.) This large supermarket is probably best accessed by car, which is evidenced by the large car park, which includes about 20 Blue Badge parking bays. The spacious layout with wide aisles all on one floor is great with a wheelchair, but I would struggle if I only had my stick, since the flipside of spaciousness is long distances to walk!

The entrance has a little vestibule with automatic sliding double doors on either side. The toilets and café are past the checkouts to the right and to get into the shop proper, you go through little gates. The café has tables with moveables chairs and you order at a large touch screen that can be reached from a seated position.

I travelled to this place by personal vehicle
The supermarket is set back from the road and uphill, so as I said driving is probably your best shout. There is a drop-off and pick-up point to the right of the entrance with a three seater bench with backrests and armrests between the seats. Most of the disabled parking is to the left of the entrance and there are two EV charging spaces past the Blue Badge parking on the side of the building. The 124 bus stops at the roundabout at the entrance to the car park. Berryknowes Road/Lourdes Secondary School (9, 9A, 34, 38, 38A, 124) bus stops are a 130 yard-/2-minute walk or wheel away but downhill from the supermarket. The Invergyle Drive bus stop (17, 17A, 25, 34) is slightly further.

Morrisons Cardonald has an accessible bathroom. It is located between the kiosk and the café and accessible without a key. and unlocked with a RADAR key. The door opens to the outside left and the handle is a vertical bar. The door is manual. The door locks with an extended twist knob. There is a horizontal grab rail on the inside of the door as well as two coat hooks at different heights. The toilet is at the back wall. There is space for a right-side transfer. There is a vertical grab rail on the wall to the left of the toilet and a fixed horizontal handrail on the wall to the right of the toilet. The flush is a spatula lever, located on the side of the cistern on the side of the transfer space. The toilet roll dispenser is on the wall right of the toilet. There is a red emergency cord to the right of the toilet that reaches all the way to the floor. There is a small wall-mounted sink on the left as you enter that has a mixer tap. There are vertical handrails on the wall on either side of the sink. The soap dispenser is mounted on the wall above the sink. There is a hand dryer mounted on the wall to the left of the sink and no paper towel dispenser. There is no mirror. There is a large footpedal bin in the corner of the transfer space but not blocking it. There is a colostomy shelf in the back right corner of the bathroom above the bin. The grab rails are a contrasting colour from the walls and the toilet.

Excellent
I have not interacted with staff there a lot, but every time I have, they have been friendly and helpful. I realised at the till that I had left my money in the car and they were fine with me leaving my things while I went and got it.
