    National Emergency Services Museum

    About

The National Emergency Services Museum is a hands-on, family-friendly attraction located in the historic West Bar area of Sheffield. Housed within a stunning Victorian police, fire, and ambulance station, this independent museum offers three floors of interactive exhibits exploring over 200 years of crisis services history. Visitors can explore police cells, discover over 50 vintage vehicles, and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere in the onsite cafe.

The museum features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a lift that provides access to all floors. Most areas include step-free level access, supplemented by ramps and widened doorways for visitors with mobility requirements. An accessible toilet is available on the ground floor. To support sensory needs, the venue offers sensory-friendly maps and free sensory backpacks to borrow from the reception desk. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the building. While there is no onsite parking, the nearest step-free train station is Sheffield and the closest tram stop is Cathedral.
