    National Science and Media Museum

The National Science and Media Museum is conveniently located close to the Bradford Interchange, although car parking is harder. The slope up to the museum entrance is quite steep. Inside floors are level with a few gentle slopes, and platforms lifts to areas up steps, in addition to the main lift to navigate between floors. All exhibits are viewable from wheelchair height. Video displays are subtitled and have BSL interpretation. Braille, tactile displays, and audio descriptions are frequently found throughout the museum too. The biggest issue is that the museum lacks clear signage for routes around the exhibits, which can make navigating a little tricky. Disabled toilets are available on multiple floors. The cafe is mostly self-served from a buffet style display which is inaccessible from a wheelchair.

Day out at the national media museum

The museum had automatic doors for wheelchair users to get through. There were also ramps and sloped to make it easier for the wheelchair users. The museum provided accessible toilets. The museum overall had open spaces which made it easier for wheelchair users to get around. This was a really enjoyable place to visit and I would go back again!
