... With fantastic accessibility to match! Cannot recommend this museum enough... It's fascinating to have so much recent(ish) history at your fingertips and presented in so many different ways and so many opportunities to interact with the specific bits you're interested in.

Disabled Access In and Around

Everything had been thought about! Massive glass lift to get you between floors. Exhibitions all different but ones where you had opportunity to sit and have headphones had accessible booths. The section where you were able to pretend to be in front of camera was raised platform but had ramped access. Signs for assisted listening devices and large print available. And there's so much more I could talk about!

Parking & Transport

We were staying nearby so it was only a short stroll to get there. Not sure what parking is like.

Accessible Toilets

Clean, tidy, spacious and set up as we found all the U.S. Restrooms. Located within the standard restrooms.

Staff

Super helpful! Even took some great photos on the balcony looking towards the Capitol.

Additional Information

In a city with soooooo many amazing museums this one really stood out! You may well shed a tear or two at the 911 section and also the poignant wall with the names of many journalists who have died reporting on conflicts. Your ticket entitled you to go back the next day too.
