Oaklands

There are three lodges on site. The three bedroom one we stayed in, Hideaway, was described on the website as wheelchair friendly. However the size and layout is such that it's difficult to get into the bedroom, round doors etc. My husband and son had to move the bed so I could even get into the bedroom. The ensuite bathroom is a wet room but the door to it is behind the door into the bedroom so needs many manoeuvres to get to it. There are few handrails, none by the loo and basin. The shower seat provided was not height adjustable and so low I couldn't transfer unaided. There was so much furniture in the living room, I had to sit away from my family.
