Disabled Access Information Provided by OVO at The Roman Theatre

Disabled Access at OVO at The Roman Theatre

Step free access is available for all visitors via ramps and small inclines over natural terrain. As the theatre is built on a heritage site and we are fully open air, please be aware that some ground may be rocky or muddy, however we are currently in the process of installing access mats for these areas. Handrails are in place on all of our slopes and staircases, and we encourage audiences to take their time when moving around if there are any mobility concerns.

Accessible parking at OVO at The Roman Theatre

We have 2 blue badge spaces available to book in advance. Please let the box office team know if you need to book accessible parking. Otherwise, the nearest parking is the St Albans Museum car park (2 minutes walk from the theatre). If this if full, then alternative parking can be found on King Harry Lane (a 10 minute walk from the theatre), or in the city centre (a 15-20 minute walk from the theatre).

We provide portable bathrooms for all performances, including one wheelchair accessible cubicle.

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
