Reopened in late 2023 following a major refurbishment, the library spans four floors and offers a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. You can explore an extensive collection of books, utilise the dedicated digital suite with free public computer access, or relax in the cosy reading nooks. The venue is family friendly, featuring a purpose built children’s library with a unique play structure and storytelling areas.

    Accessibility highlights

    The library provides level access from the High Street through automatic double doors. An internal lift is available to provide step free access to all floors of the building. Accessible toilets are located on the ground and second floors, while standard toilets are available on the first floor. The building also includes autism friendly information and a height adjusted counter at the entrance to support the requirements of different visitors.
