Overview
The Palace Theatre stages plays, musicals, dance and music.
Transport & Parking
Paignton railway station is about 5 minutes walk away and has step free access. There are several buses that stop nearby.
Access
This is a small theatre. There are stairs and a ramp to the entrance. (sorry my photo was from a previous visit but the ramp is to the right of the photo). Old theatre with a modern studio style seating on a raised terrace. Inside the front row is step free. The other rows are accessed by a staircase with handrail. There are spaces for wheelchair users.
Toilets
There is an accessible toilet by the entrance. It is spacious and clean with grab rails. Sorry can't remember if it had an emergency alarm (it had been a lovely, but long day and I was low on my spoons).
Staff
Staff very welcoming and helpful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I was here for Agatha Christie's The Lie. the production was excellent. The theatre is small and intimate. I was able to book my step free tickets online, it's great when you don't have to phone up to book seats with suitable access. This is a delightful theatre and well worth visiting if you are in the area.
