This is an update review of my previous visit in 2018.
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
This is a small small theatre. It has a ramp or steps to the entrance. Inside the front row is step free. The other rows are accessed by a staircase with handrail. There are spaces for wheelchair users.
Parking & Transport
Excellent
Paignton railway station is about 5 minutes walk away and has step free access. The bus station is also nearby with a choice of several buses.
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
The accessible toilet is by the entrance. It is spacious and clean. It had grab rails and an emergency cord that reaches towards the ground. It also had the Euan's Guide red cord card that I put up in September 2018.
Staff
Excellent
Apart from checking tickets I didn't interact with the staff. There was no interval for the performance.
Additional Information
The theatre is following covid precautions regarding cleaning, etc. However, most people were not wearing a mask in the theatre. I was sitting on the step free front row, so it's based on my observations as people walked in. The theatre is charming and welcoming. I visited to see a production of Agatha Christie's The Stranger and it was excellent. The theatre is an annual fixture for the Agatha Christie Festival and I look forward to visiting again next year.
