Overview

Lovely visit, grounds and views were wonderful. Using the scooter provided was tricky

Transport & Parking

You first park and get a ticket at the main reception and are given directions to go to the car park by the castle as it’s a steep walk otherwise. But it is quite far to walk to the main castle if you use a walking stick as the surface is quite gravelly

Access

You can reserve a scooter in advance but I wasn’t clear where I needed to wait so walked from the car park which wasn’t easy. The scooter is fine but once inside the turns through some doorways and accessing the servants area was very tricky although I am not very familiar with using a scooter
