Zip World - Penrhyn Quarry

Fabulous velocity zip wire experience with daughter with a severe learning disability accompanied by her two brothers

As a wheelchair user, I am always a bit anxious whether things will really be possible to participate in. The whole experience was very reassuring and enjoyable! All the staff, I came across from the original booking, reception, to getting kitted out, travelling  up the quarry, receiving an explanation of process  at top and then getting attached & unattached to zip line were all friendly, professional, respectful and made me feel very comfortable and at ease! You get help to transfer to their own wheelchair at top and bottom as well as getting in suitable position for zip line. Also didn’t do practice line & went straight to Velocity 2 - awesome & inclusive experience!

Loose slate floor, impossible in a chair. Weight limit was 120 kilos but was dropped on arrival. Wheelchair user asked if he could walk on to scales. Wheelchair carried up steps and metal sheet slid on to scales wheelchair user was over 105 Kilos. Weight limit now 80 Kilos - They seem very pro wheelchairs but really poor.
