Afternoon visit to Petworth House in West Sussex. Very interesting stately home with lots of history, art work and architecture to view. Car park for the house has a number of disabled parking bays. The car park is about 450 metres from the house. There is an electric buggy service that can take wheelchair users and those with mobility difficulties from the car park to the house through the gardens. Otherwise, the path is suitable for wheelchairs though there is an incline which some may find difficult. The house itself is wheelchair accessible, as is the servant's wing where there is also the shop and cafeteria. The cafeteria has outside tables as well as lift access to the internal dining area.

Generally, wheelchair access is good with a level entrance and the display rooms are all on the ground floor. Visitors are allowed to climb the main stairs to look at frescoes but there is no access to any rooms. Wheelchair users can only view the small chapel from the entrance. The cafeteria has a lift to enable access to the interior dining area.

Parking is free for National Trust members, otherwise there is a charge. There disabled parking bays. There are electric charging points too. Toilets, including an accessible one, at the car park. There is a path from the car park to the house which is suitable for wheelchairs though there is an incline some may find difficult. Alternatively, there is a buggy car that can take wheelchairs and those with mobility issues to the front of the house (450m from car park).
