Venue Description

Portway Lifestyle Centre is an exciting new leisure facility for Sandwell. A sports, health and wellbeing centre for the whole community and centre of excellence for people with disabilities. Facilities include; sports hall, hydrotherapy pool, inclusive IFI gym and weight area, dance studio, climbing wall, outdoor 3G football pitch, outdoor exercise area, multi-purpose activity room, sensory room and cafeteria.

Accessibility

The centre has been specifically designed to help and support users with disabilities and includes the following facilities; -Disabled parking and drop off points are located near to the main entrance. -Easy access ramp and walkways with tactile paving and handrails. -A tactile map of the building is located in reception. -Colour contrast and braille signs for all key areas of building. -Power assisted doors are located throughout the building. -Disabled toilets and changing area

Toilets

Toilet located on the ground floor with a ceiling track hoist (loop system). It is height adjustable, adult sized and free standing.
