A franchise that ❤️👨🏽🦽🩼 customers
This McDonald's franchise values ALL of their customers and this is reflected in the layout, bathroom facilities and staff attitudes.
The bathroom is usually immaculate, well stocked and maintained. It has more bars than a prison cell for the restaurants less coordinated customers to hold on to, and a baby change table for the littlest customers.
There are automatic sliding doors at the entrance adjacent to the disabled parking spaces however these incorporate a ramp. Fun for those who enjoy a challenge before their coffee, but if you're having a chill day the entrance adjacent to the outdoor seating has a much flatter entrance. Both doors are manual and I'm able to operate them easily (SCI affects my ability to push/pull with arm extended)
There is signage for extra disabled assistance in-store and the seating isn't ALL bolted down, there are plenty of freestanding chairs that can be moved to accommodate wheelchairs in addition to spaces at the ends of tables.
Loads of space between seating zones for wheelchairs to manoeuvre, very little of the space has narrow gaps.
Lighting is varied, mostly blue/white LEDs but there are a couple of darker corners for those with sensory challenges.
Staff are helpful, confident to engage and help if they can without being overbearing. All McDonald's meet basic accessible requirements but some owners go above and beyond and this franchise owner clearly thought about all of their customers needs and had done their best to meet them. ❤️
