Overall Rating

Found it hard going with electric wheelchair and assistance dog. Need extra help to get through the doors.

Disabled Access In and Around

there ar no automatic doors to enter the corridors which means that steering a n electric wheelchair and getting an assistance dog through safely requires the assistance of a second person. The doors to the room are firedoors and heavy. Needed some help there too.

Parking & Transport

Sufficient Disabled parking, but then you cannot access the pavement and have to travel on the roadway. You are charged 24 hour parking, thanking you to the staff who worked out how much I actually owed. Much appreciated

Accessible Toilets

Easily accesible toilet/shower wetroom with sliding door

Staff

Absolutely fabulous staff who exceeded my expectations. They were available readily except when booking in other people, They assisted in carrying luggage and getting stuff packed into my van. Very much appreciated

Additional Information

I was visiting the NEC to pay 24 hour parking and then pay £10 parking at the NEC was ridiculous. There was no wheelchair access except through a broken fence across muddy grass to get to one of the NEC car parks to then be picked up to get to the NEC, or take a taxi for £6 in each direction. Difficult when you attend with friends who are also disabled
